Living in an era where warfare seems nothing more then a game, military seems to be imperative formula for a nations defense. As the British classical scholar F.E.Adcock says Battles and wars are nearly always won by soldiers and sergeants which although stands as an inevitable fact, however, to peoples surprise, there are countries void of military.
For the many who believe that military is a mandatory binding force, below is the list of ten such countries that have no set of military regiments, for reasons concerning either its location or the countrys history itself. However there always lies a backup plan to handle the situation in case of any undesirable attack or if an unexpected war is declared upon.
